Angus Young (born March 31 1959 in Glasgow Scotland) The Young family relocated from Scotland to Sydney, Australia in 1963.
For many years, the band even claimed that Angus was born in 1959 rather than 1955 to perpetuate the myth that he was still a schoolboy when the band formed.
Angus Young is the lead guitarist and one of the songwriters of the Australian hard rock band AC/DC. Malcolm played in a few rock bands before they founded AC/DC in 1973.
His trademark guitar is the Gibson SG, which being light in weight and having a "fast neck" is well suited to Angus' own small frame and slow-fingered blues playing style. The 'horns' of the 'double cutaway' body mirror Angus' use of devil's horns as a rebellious image.
After wearing various costumes on stage (including one called Super-Ang, consisting of a Zorro-like cape and hat and a Superman-style top with a large A), Angus Young followed a suggestion from his sister and began wearing his Ashfield Boys High School uniform on stage, which has since become one of the trademarks of AC/DC.
Angus Young is notorious for his wild onstage antics. He entertains audiences with his intense moves and jumps onstage and with his running back and forth across the stage while playing the electric guitar. During live shows, Angus would clamber on singer Bon Scott's shoulders and they would make their way through the audience with smoke streaming from a satchel on his back while he played an extended solo.
In later years, Angus performed moves such as his own version of the Duck Walk, which was inspired by his idol Chuck Berry, and his "spasm," during which he throws himself to the ground, kicking, shaking, and spinning in circles, while playing the guitar, of course; both can be seen in the "Who Made Who" video.http://www.mtv.com/bands/az/acdc/artist.jhtml Other gimmicks employed by Angus include his strip act, which is viewable during "Jailbreak" on AC/DC's Live At Donington DVD.

Durante sus inicios AC/DC fue la oveja negra de la escena musical australiana, debido a lo crudo de sus letras y la rudeza de sus canciones. Sin embargo con el tiempo se vio que estas características, son las que precisamente los llevaron a ser el hijo pródigo, que la tierra de los canguros le brindó al mundo de la música.
Con su peculiar estilo de hacer rock, fundamentado en las raíces más simples y elementales que le dieron forma al género desde sus inicios con Chuck Berry; el inquebrantable estilo de AC/DC provocó que en muchas ocasiones, la prensa los acusara de grabar el mismo disco año tras año. Sin embargo su arraigo en el gusto del público, así como contar en su historial con el disco de hard rock más vendido de la historia, “Back In Black” (1980), los ha llevado a traspasar las barreras del género pesado, para convertirse en indiscutibles clásicos del rock.
De igual forma su figura principal, Angus Young, ataviado con sus eternos trajes escolares, se ha convertido en uno de los guitarristas de mayor influencia; así como también su imagen es ya un símbolo de la energía del rock, en su estado más puro y explosivo.
